SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH COLLEGE CONDUCTS ‘SWACHH SURVEY’ PROGRAMME TO PROMOTE CIVIC AWARENESS AMONG STUDENTS

SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly conducted ‘ Swachh Survey Programme’ with an aim to educate and sensitize students about cleanliness assessment methodologies, citizen participation in government surveys & their implementation across urban areas.

Organized in association with Government of India and represented by an authorized IIC team from Nagar Nigam Bareilly, the event saw active participation of students from various SRMS Trust Institutions including SRMS CETR, SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), SRMS College of Nursing, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), and SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly.

The programme began with welcoming of city’s Nagar Nigam’s team (IIC) by Syyeda Aamna, Secretary of Verve club and Shikhar Agarwal, Vice President of Verve Club. Further, Nagar Nigam team gave a comprehensive presentation on survey methodology, explained its objectives, implementation process, detailed instructions on effective conduct of survey, importance of accurate data collection and citizen feedback in shaping cleanliness policies. However, the social and civic centric-program concluded with clarification of doubts by participants, wherein, they understood the mechanics and role of government surveys in national cleanliness campaigns. Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal CET; Dr Shailesh Saxena,Dean Academics, CETR; Dr KK Agarwal, DSW & several others were present at the event.
