The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology that caters to quality health care services for women hailing from the regions of Rohilkhand, Uttarakhand, Nepal and 200 km of periphery, has established itself as one of the leaders in the region providing high quality evidence-based medical care of international standards—right from puberty to menopause. It is a center of excellence for providing care to patient and training students. Being one of the most active departments in the institute, its capable of handling and managing life threatening & exsanguinating emergencies, unprecedented number of high-risk deliveries, and unearthly work hours, which are handled with ease and expertise by a team of dedicated and skilled doctors.

NURTURING UNDER CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology nurtures academics par excellence, and strives to create an environment conducive to acquiring and imparting high quality education and innovative scientific research. The department has meticulously planned, updated, exhaustive academic curriculum for the training & teaching of the MBBS, Interns, Post Graduates and PDCC students.
We are the Nodal Department and Regional Resource Centre to build the capacity of doctors serving at first point of contact FRUs (CHC and PHC) and DWH (district women hospitals) under RRTC Program. This is a unique project, wherein on-site and on-job clinical mentoring of doctors for delivery of quality CEMONC services are done. The department facilitates the panel of expert Gynecologists and Obstetricians that are available 24*7 to serve the patients. Our state-of-the-art operation theatres and post-operative wards are equipped with advanced monitoring systems to ensure ‘patient focused care’. We offer range of services from the least invasive to the most advanced techniques, which are appropriately assessed and addressed with utmost care.
Treatments
Our advanced technologies enable timely and accurate fetal screening and diagnosis that further allow our doctors to meet the unique and specific needs of the babies, while they are in the womb (in-utero). The high-end quality of ultrasound images provides an accurate report on fetal development during pregnancy, which is an opportunity for the expecting parents to see their unborn baby before birth. We strive to provide better health for mother, and treat abnormalities in an unborn baby. The delivery rooms have been specifically designed while considering all requirements.
GIFTING PARENTHOOD TO COUNTLESS FAMILIES
IN VITRO FERTILIZATION (IVF) Providing a ray of hope to the infertile couples in the region, the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology successfully runs an Infertility Clinic for all six days a week by a team of dedicated Senior IVF specialist, Infertility Specialists along with 24 hours Embryologist. Embracing technological advancements for providing state of the art teaching-learning activities, is the motto of the department. The department also focuses on expert counseling and quality care, on matters related to Infertility Management, Family Welfare, Menopause Management, Pre-natal Diagnosis, Reconstructive Surgery and Pelvic Floor Medicine.
SRMS In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Clinic is an integral part of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and one of its kind for being complaint to ART Act, 2021 that is dedicated to helping people build a family, and provided infertility treatment to both men and women. Providing pregnancy rate of beyond 80%, SRMS IVF is an established well-known center for fertility treatment, which is equipped to maintain high quality intra laboratory environment for embryo culture. The clinic provides a holistic experience, and end to end service to the patient and the newborn baby. Fertility preservation facility for cancer survivors and single couple is also available. We also provide services to couples with poor ovarian reserve by rejuvenating their endometrium and ovary with PRP instillation under hysteron-laparoscopic guidance.
