Signifying a fresh start, first-year students of B Tech, B Pharm, BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA, M Tech, M Pharm, BHMCT & Second-year (Lateral Entry) students of SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET) & SRMS CETR, Bareilly enjoyed a refreshing evening, ‘COFFEE WITH CHAIRMAN SIR’–Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust recently. The evening aimed to ease the students’ transition from school to college while instilling the vision & mission of SRMS Institutions.
The event commenced with presenting of saplings to Shri Dev Murti & Aditya Murti (Trust Secretary) each by Tyro President, Divyanshu Singh Chauhan & Tyro Secretary, Puja Karakoti respectively. This was followed by their inspiring & candid speeches, wherein, Shri Dev Murti urged students to be respectful to elders & seniors, and cultivate strong moral values, while equipping themselves for challenges ahead. In his candid address, Aditya Murti wished freshers a successful journey at SRMS ahead & underscored the importance of adhering to code of conduct as a pathway to personal & academic achievement. He addressed key youth challenges and said, “You must think differently, communicate effectively, respect peers & embrace positive values like gender equality. Also, there is a dire need to be responsible for your actions in today’s digital world, where one should be able to gather, process & assess the infinite information being available to them.”
The event concluded with memories brewed in coffee & snacks, wherein, freshers indulged in meaningful conversations. Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal SRMSCET; Dr Arti Gupta, Director Pharmacy; Dr LS Maurya, Principal CETR; Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP; Dr Shailesh Saxena, Dean SRMS CETR, members of Proctorial Board, HODs, faculty members etc were also present.
