A conference was organized on “Advances In Communication Engineering and Sensor Technology ACEST -2016” by Department of Electronics and Communication in SRMS CET and CETR on 5th November 2016.
The event started with inaugural ceremony which was illuminated by prestigious Presence of Honorable Chairman Shri Dev Murti Sir, Trust secretary Shri Aditya Murti Sir, Trust Administrator Er. Subhash Mehra Sir, Dean academics Dr. Prabhakar Gupta , Principle SRMS IMS DR. R C Purohit and Various department HODs.
At first welcome note by Dr. Prabhakar Gupta(Dean Academics) was given, followed by introduction of theme of conference by HOD of the Electronics and communication Department,CET Er. B.R. Dutta. Chief Gues of the event Dr. T.C. Sami, Dr. Balwinder Raj and Dr. Anil Kumar also share their knowledgeable views for theme and vote of thanks was given by Mr. Anuj Agarwal (Co-Convener ACEST).
Honorable Chairman Shri Dev Murti Sir expressed his view regarding development and innovation for better growth of one for growth of nation by continuous organization of these events. He emphasized on importance of such events.
Er. B.R. Dutta motivated the students not to waste time by quoting “When you waste minutes, hours take revenge.” He explained the theme of the event and said that this conference will help students to explore themselves to real world.
Dr TC. Shami, head of DTE of strategic material DMSRDE, who was Chief Guest of the event said “Until we don’t have vision and mission we can’t do anything.” In his lecture, he told us about the DRDO infrastructure and Job opportunities in this esteemed organization. He introduced us to some of the researches done in DRDO and thus, fascinated us with technologies of warfare. The lecture concluded with introduction to a new technologies and how it is going to help Army. Next lecture was given by Dr Anil Kumar, Keynote Speaker of the event, who is scientist in CEERI, Pilani.
He gave a lecture on Gas Nano Sensor based on CNT. It was very informative session introducing us to different types of sensors.
Our Guest of Honour, Dr Balwinder Raj, Professor in NIT Jalandhar in ECE department introduced us to the technology of tomorrow, Nano scale Semiconductor Devices.
Paper presentations were made by Students of different Institutions. The conference concluded with lecture by Mr Amit Bansal industrialist from Aricent – CISCO who explained the journey from “College to Industry”, in which he told us about different ways of exposure to reach the industry.
At the end of the conference Dr. Anant Kr. Shrivastav (Principle SRMS CETR) contributing his idea towards electronics development and improvement needed.
