SRMS TRUST is known for its values, quality of education, and for the holistic development of students. In keeping with annual practice, various events were organised a day before the Gandhi Jayanti to remember the principles of Gandhi Ji about truth and honesty in society.
SRMS College of Engineering Technology & Research (CET&R) hosted two events: Poster Making Competition and Street Play Competition. The theme for the former event was ‘Peace & Harmony’. Students made sketches and used their best colours to bring out the impact of their message. The various scourges of terrorism, war, discrimination, riots, etc. inspired the students to create messages conveying the theme. The event started in the Evening 3.45 PM in the Open Hall situated in ground floor at SRMS CET&R. The event was inaugurated in the presence of Principal SRMS CET&R (Prof. Dr. A. K Srivastava), Dean Student Welfare Mr. Jitendra Singh and Heads of various departments, faculty members and students. A total of 50 students participated in the event.
Participants had to explain the meaning and concept behind their work, which was used as the basis for judging. A panel of 4 experts judged the event – Mr. Vikas Dev Singh, Mr. Sumit Gupta, Mr. Sumit Saxena and Mr. Gaurav Jaiswal. 1st prize went to Harshita Agarwal (2nd Year B.Tech), 2nd prize to Tanuja Dwevedi (2nd Year B.Tech), 3rd Prize to Konark Sinha (1st Year B.Tech), First Consolation Prize to Aradhana Saxena (1st Year B.Tech), and Second Consolation Prize to Imana Azram (2nd Year B.Tech). Winners of event were recognized on 2nd October after flag hosting. Shri Aditya Murti (TRUST SECRETARY) awarded the participants and praised them for their creativity and healthy participation. He advised student fraternity to follow the path of honesty and truthfulness in real life too. He also said that every student should imbibe within himself/ herself a feeling of patriotism which is the only way for nation’s development along with technological innovation.
