A one day National Conference on “Signal Processing and Smart Sensor Network-2016 (S3N – 2016)” was organized by Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of SRMS Women’s College of Engg. & Tech., Bareilly on 19th April, 2016.

The Principal and Director of the Conference Dr. A.K. Srivastava welcome all the dignitaries, researchers and participants with his welcome address.
The Conference Convenor and HOD of EC Department Er. Nazia Parveen elaborated the theme of the Conference.

The conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Prof. Mushahid Husain. He focused on the miniaturization of the device size and further told that advancement in sensors is related to advancement in material science. The keynote speaker Dr. Harsh, Professor, Jamia Milia Islamia, Central University, New Delhi gave a talk on Micro Sensor Technology and 21st Century Expectations.

Trust Secretary Shri Aditya Murti gave the Presidential Address.

Further, the souvenir of the conference was unveiled by the dignitaries and at the end of the inaugural session Madam Richa Murti presented the vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants.

The Chairperson of first technical session was Dr. Ravi Chand, Professor, Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He gave a talk on Nanostructure based Gas Sensor. In the Second Technical Session the Chairperson was Dr. B.S. Bansod, Senior Scientist CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. He discussed on “Water & Food Security and Sustainability”.

A plenary session was conducted by Dr. Imran Uddin, Professor, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh on the topic “Graphene Quantum Dots as Biosensor”.

The Chief Guest of the Valedictory Session was Prof. Alim Husain Naqvi, Coordinator, Centre of Nano-Technology,Aligarh. He congratulated the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department for the grand success of the Conference and shares his views about Nano technology and Smart Sensors.

Shri Dev Murti Ji, Chairman, SRMS Trust guided the participants with his valuable ideas on the topic of conference and inspired to work on research topics in Signal Processing and Smart Sensor Network.

A total of 33 research papers were presented in the technical sessions including researcher from Noida Chandigarh, Allahabad, Lucknow, Modinagar, Bengaluru, Bareilly etc
