The Training, Development & Placement cell of Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly recently organized a workshop-cum-session on ‘Amazon Web Services & DevOps’ for B Tech (CS/IT) III-year students of CET & CETR, Batch 2021-25. The workshop was delivered by Special Guest & Keynote Speaker, Saransh Malik, Assistant Vice President, HDFC Bank, Bengaluru, India, a B Tech Alumni of Batch 2008, who imparted pertinent knowledge on leveraging Amazon Web Services for DevOps excellence, its technical features, usefulness & also answered the queries of young attendees on future career prospects.
The session began with welcoming the speaker with plant sapling by Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics in the presence of Dr LS Maurya, Principal CETR; Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell & HODs of various departments. Introducing the topic, Saransh Malik shared, “Amazon Web Services is a leading cloud computing platform that offers a wide array of infrastructure services including storage, databases & machine learning. DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) & IT operations (Ops) to shorten the systems development life cycle & deliver high-quality software benefits.” He also guided students about AWS installation process including its pros & cons, and shed light on relational database, enlightening the attendees with a wealth of informative facts. Later, Dr Anuj Kumar expressed his gratitude & wished for similar corporation in future.
