With final #Day-2 sport events, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Inter-Technical University Sports Fest, 2023-24 —Zonal Level (November 7-8) organized by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow UP came to a thrilling end with exciting final matches & standout performances at Zonal Centre — Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly on November 8. The grand 2-day fest witnessed the participation of 15 colleges (including 12 colleges of AKTU) representing Bareilly & Moradabad districts under various sporting events—Kabaddi, Basketball, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Chess, Table Tennis & Athletics.
Over 603 students participated from SRMS CET, SRMS CETR, SR Institute of Pharmacy, Rajshree Institute of Management & Technology, Rakshpal Bahadur College of Pharmacy, Rakshpal Bahadur Engineering College, Future FIP, Future F.O.P., Future Engineering College, Sacred Heart Institute, Universal Institute of Pharmacy from Bareilly; and KITPS, MIT Engineering, MIT Pharmacy-0598 & MIT Pharmacy-1046 from Moradabad.
The HIGHLIGHTS of Day-2 event were Table Tennis & Athletics. The Athletics event saw track events including 100 M (boys/girls), 200 M (boys/girls), 400 M (boys/girls), 800 M (boys/girls), Long Jump (boys/girls), High Jump (boys/girls), Shotput (boys/girls), Javelin (boys/girls), Discuss Throw (boys/girls) & 4*100 Relay (boys/girls).
The AKTU Sports Fest concluded at SRMS CET with a gala valedictory ceremony, wherein Dr Sovan Mohanty, DSW summarized about the sports fest & expressed appreciation for winners & participants. Later, the winners of all sport events were announced during the closing & prize distribution ceremony.
