TheTraining, Development & Placement Cell at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET) Bareilly organized a four-day Workshop on ‘ANDROID & WEB DEVELOPMENT’ at SRMS CET on March 17-20, 2023 at New Seminar Hall, SRMS CET, which was headed by the Guest Speaker, SHANTU PUKRAIT, Director at Netcamp Solutions Pvt Ltd, Kolkata. The workshop was a great opportunity for the students of third-year B Tech (CS/ IT) of CET Batch 2020-2024, and second-year MCA of CET&R Batch 2021-23, to learn about the latest trends and techniques in Android and Web Development and enhance their skills as budding developers.
On its first day, Shantu Pukrait, an industry expert with extensive experience in Android and Web Development, was welcomed by presenting a plant sapling by Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics. The workshop began with installation of Android Studio and JDK. Later, some apps were developed on Android Studio by building APK and installing these apps in mobile phones. Students got hands-on practice on Android, and developed various apps like calculator. Shantu Pukrait continued the second day with some other Android apps like Text to Speech, Media Player app. He also covered the basic concepts of Steganography. The last day of the workshop covered the Bluetooth, Wifi apps and connection to Firebase Database app. He explained the basic concepts of ethical hacking, which included Phishing and Key Logger Software. The knowledge-driven event also saw the presence of Dr Anuj Kumar, Head-Training and Placement Cell and Hiresh Kumar Gupta, HOD CSE.
