The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is one of the most-challenging exams for engineering aspirants that opens the Gateway to IITs, IISC, NITs or foreign universities. However, proving their mettle, B Tech students of SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly qualified the prestigious GATE Exam that’s inspiring enough for all budding engineers.

However, making SRMS Institution proud, Akshay Balyan (CS-Batch 2020), Priyank Gupta (CS-Batch 2020), Vaibhav Kesharvani (CS-Batch 2019) and Khushi (EC-Batch 2019) have taken their career aspirations a notch-higher by qualifying GATE 2023. Let’s read, right from the horses’ mouth!

ONLINE SESSIONS: A GAME-CHANGER
Akshay Balyan's journey from an average engineering student to GATE-qualifier is indeed a story of determination & sheer hard work. He shares, “I followed proper strategy to crack GATE & studied for 4-5 hours daily. I faced ‘time management’ as one of the most significant challenges, but with help of online classes, I managed my time effectively.”

GOAL-ORIENTED APPROACH
Priyank Gupta's success is a result of his focused & goal-oriented approach. He avers, “My preparation strategy involved 3-4 hours rigorous study & setting weekly goals to track my progress. I focused on practicing numerical problems & watching YouTube videos to clarify my concepts. With self-study, positive mindset and guidance of faculty members at SRMS College, it was an easy ride for me.”

NEVER GIVE-UP ATTITUDE
With relentless determination & unwavering self-belief, Vaibhav Kesharvani stood through the obstacles in his way. He quips, “Despite having multiple things on my plate, I remained positive & worked tirelessly to prepare for GATE & placements, simultaneously. I did consistent study of 4-6 hours that helped me achieve my goal.”

CLARITY IN CONCEPTS
Khushi managed to qualify GATE Exam with her dedication & commitment. She remarks, “I maintained regularity in class & clarity in concepts. Since, I was also preparing for placements interviews, I managed it all through organized self-study & balanced approach.”
