BAREILLY’S SRMS HOSPITAL MAKES HISTORY WITH FIRST-EVER SUCCESSFUL ROBOTIC KNEE TRANSPLANT IN GROUNDBREAKING LIVE DEMONSTRATION

SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly have scored an applauding & groundbreaking milestone in the field of Orthopedic Surgery by successfully performing First-ever ROBOTIC KNEE SURGERY (Knee Transplant) in our region, which is a game-changer in the world of Orthopedics. It was a history in the making as Orthopedic team of doctors at SRMS Hospital Bareilly flawlessly carried out a live demonstration of a Robotic Knee Transplant with their remarkable expertise & precision.

This historic feat was achieved during a 2-day SRMS Cadaveric Arthroplasty Course held at SRMS IMS recently that was organized by Department of Orthopedics, SRMS IMS in association with Uttar Pradesh Orthopedic Association (UPOA).
Dr Dhruv Goel, Assistant Professor at Department of Orthopedics, SRMS IMS assisted Dr Akshay Chandel, Consultant, Orthopedics & Joint Replacement, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Patparganj in the surgery. The very next day, team of SRMS IMS orthopedic surgeons, Dr Apser Khan ,Professor ; Dr Dhruv Goel & Dr Rahul Verma, Assistant Professor successfully performed three consecutive Robotic Knee surgeries under the able guidance of Dr Sanjay Gupta , Professor & Head , Orthopedics, SRMS IMS.
