SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly recently had a privilege of hosting Dr Harshit Agarwal, a renowned Emergency & Trauma Surgeon from SRMS Hospital, Bareilly, who shared invaluable insights as a keynote speaker on ‘Trauma Training’ in a Guest Lecture delivered by him.
Dr Harshit Agarwal, India’s first Mch Emergency & Trauma Surgeon at SRMS IMS, Bareilly enlightened the first-year students of B Tech and B Pharm on the prevention and cure of trauma, shedding light on the importance of CPR and immediate steps to be taken in cases of severe injuries. Dr Harshit and his team’s practical demonstration of CPR technique as well as first aid was not only informative, but also empowering. Emphasizing the importance of first aid in diverse situations, he also provided guidance on how to handle burns, electric shocks, dislocations & snakebites, and explained about its each and every step-in detail. Later, he interacted with the students and answered their queries.
The session that was attended by Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics, CET along with several other dignitaries, was quite enriching and proved highly successful, equipping students with practical knowledge.
