MBBS STUDENT OF SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES WON ACCOLADES FOR HIS RESEARCH ENDEAVORS

Bringing glory to the institution with his dedication & innovative ideas, Aryan Kumar Srivastava, pursuing MBBS (Batch 2020) from Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly has been awarded with Certificate of Appreciation for 1st Best Oral Presentation in the 2nd Cochrane India Network (CIN) Conference held on October 27th-28th, 2023 that was organized by Cochrane Affiliate Centre at King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow.

In a proud moment, SRMS budding medico, Aryan Kumar Srivastava showcased his exceptional project idea on ‘Evaluation of Bax Gene Mutations in Chronic Tobacco Chewers’ for ICMR—Short Term Studentship (STS).

Speaking about his project & achievement, Aryan shares, “I had initially participated in a ‘Research-A-Thon’ event titled ‘Rhapsody’, organized by KGMU, Lucknow, wherein I ideated a research project on ‘Evaluation of Bax Gene Mutation in Chronic Tobacco Chewers’, under the able guidance of Dr Qudsia Nuzhat, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology for ICMR—STS at SRMS IMS. Thereafter, 2nd CIN Conference was organized by KGMU, wherein I presented my idea through an impactful presentation & was able to again fetch the award for ‘Best Oral Presentation’. It was a truly enriching experience that provided me with valuable learning opportunities & meaningful connections. However, right now I’m working tirelessly on this project for final submission to ICMR & on being selected, I’ll receive a stipend from ICMR.”
