In a spectacular display of tradition and commitment towards the noble profession, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly recently conducted a prestigious 'White Coat Ceremony' for the students of MBBS Batch-2023, after an incredible end of their month-long orientation (foundation course) programme. This momentous event served as a rite of passage, as these aspiring medical professionals donned their white coats, symbolizing not just their devotion to clinical care, but also their unwavering dedication to compassionate service.
The ceremony began with the auspicious blessings of Maa Saraswati and ceremonial lamp lightening by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust in the presence of Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr Neelima Mehrotra, Dean UG; Dr Rohit Sharma, Dean PG; Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent, IMS along with HODs of various departments, faculty members & students. During the ceremony, Aditya Murti and Dr MS Butola shed light on the remarkable achievements of SRMS Trust and shared inspiring address to encourage the budding medicos. Later, Shri Dev Murti along with Aditya Murti and college dignitaries bestowed the white coats upon the freshers, emphasizing the profound symbolism of this cherished attire in the medical world.
Towards the end of the prestigious ceremony, Dr MS Butola delivered the Charak Shapath to the new Batch of 2023, who undertook a solemn oath, underscoring the importance of patient care, ethical practice, and patient confidentiality. The event concluded with a motivational speech by Shri Dev Murti, and a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Neelima Mehrotra.
