SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES HOLDS SUCCESSFUL BLOOD DONATION CAMP: MEDICOS GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITY HEALTH!

Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly recently conducted a ‘Blood Donation Camp’, wherein students of MBBS (Batch 2020-2023) along with Interns (Batch 2018) selflessly stepped forward as active donors. Organized by MBBS students of Batch 2020 under the Department of Transfusion Medicine at SRMS IMS, this noble initiative aimed to save lives, contributing to the well-being of our community, aid medical research & raise awareness to inspire others to donate blood.

The camp proved to be a resounding success, and collected 70 units of blood with voluntary participation from medical students of SRMS IMS. During the camp, Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary, in the presence of Dr Milan Jaiswal, HOD, Department of Transfusion Medicine at IMS, emphasized upon SRMS Hospital’s ideology that no patient should suffer due to lack of blood, highlighting the responsibility of doctors to provide blood to patients rather than depending solely on their families. Thereafter, Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal SRMS IMS, stressed upon the need for medical professionals to come forward and donate blood.
Towards the end, Aditya Murti felicitated the donors with certificate of appreciation. Later, a vote of thanks was delivered by Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent, SRMS IMS, who appreciated the voluntary participation of medicos, promoting the spirit of altruism within the institution.
