SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES HOSTS SUCCESSFUL CME ON AI IN RADIOLOGY WITH INTRODUCTION OF CUTTING-EDGE UDFF & ADVANCED USG IMAGING MACHINE!

On account of International Day of Radiology 2023, the Department of Radiodiagnosis & Interventional Radiology at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly recently organized a short ‘CME’ on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Radiology & Advanced Ultrasound Imaging. However, the aim was to disseminate information regarding AI in Radiology & latest USG equipment’s with techniques. The MOC of the event were Dr Pallavi Diwan & Dr Sakshi Bansal, JR-3, Batch 2021.

Conducted at SRMS Hospital, the CME was inaugurated by Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS & Dr Major General J Debnath, the Guest of Honor for the day, in the presence of Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent; Dr Neelima Mehrotra, Dean UG; Dr Rohit Sharma, Dean PG; Dr Sameer R Verma, Organizing Chairperson & Professor & Head, Radiodiagnosis Department; Dr Neeraj Prajapati, Organizing Secretary & Professor Radiology Department; Snehal Bhoi, Siemens Resource Faculty; Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS & several others.

During his address, Dr Major General Debnath spoke on ‘Radiology in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Are we Ready’? which was quite engaging & widely appreciated. On the other hand, Snehal Bhoi expressed her views on ‘UDFF & Advance USG Imaging’, wherein she briefed about the newly acquired most advanced state-of –the-art Ultrasound Scanner Siemens Sequoia being recently installed at SRMS IMS & elaborated its unique features including Liver Fat Quantification & Liver Stiffness Measurement. This was followed by an interactive session by Dr Neeraj Prajapati. Towards the end, a vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Pallavi Sinha, Assistant Professor, Radiology Department.
