In a spectacular burst of creativity & boundless enthusiasm, Connexus Club students, Batch 2019 of SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly, recently organized a two-day Annual Cultural Fest- ‘ZEAL’ on the theme ‘Reverie Del Mondo-Ek Kalpana’. This grand event showcased various cultural events in the array of categories like urbane, literary, fine arts, photography etc. The cultural fest also witnessed a sports-fest under the umbrella of ‘Zenith’-Only the Strong Survive', wherein various games like basketball, cricket, volleyball, BGMI, chess, carrom, football etc took place in full swing.
The two-day fest began with exciting activities & fun-filled games including Open Mic, Scavenger Hunt, Rubik, Sudoku, Calligraphy, Pop Quiz, Cosplay, Extempore, Word Art etc, alongside dance & singing performances. The Day-1 unfolded with a dazzling array of Urbane events namely Medical Quiz, GK Quiz, Treasure Hunt, Guess the Ads and many more. Literary enthusiasts engaged in spirited debates and storytelling competitions, while the fine arts event ignited creativity with engaging activities like Newspaper Dressing, T-Shirt Painting, Pot Painting, Tattoo Making, Nail Art, Rangoli, Makeup, Mehendi, Face Painting, Fireless Cooking etc. The day culminated with an unforgettable performance by the college band ‘Infarction’, leaving the students exhilarated.
The Day-2 kicked-off with riveting dance singing competitions, thought-provoking skit performances & enjoyable games like dumb charades. The highlight of the day was a college group dance ‘Pandemonium’ & Thespians Play titled ‘Dawn and Dark of Medicine’, which gave students a dose of fun and laughter.
Later, the fun-filled evening, infused with the beats of DJ Deep from Delhi, set the stage on fire with students grooving to loud music amidst glitz & glamour, which was further followed by prize distribution.
