SRMS Hospital is exhilarated to announce the latest achievement of SRMS Hospital’s talented medico, DR MOHD SHOEB ARIF, Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopedics, SRMS IMS, who has successfully performed a Bilateral Total Hip Replacement on a 35-year-old patient, Shamshad Ahmed from Khempur, Baheri, who has been enduring severe hip pain for the past 2 years.

Achieving a yet another milestone in the medical field, SRMS Hospital’s medico, Dr Mohd Shoeb Arif says, “The patient, Shamshad wasn’t able to do his routine activities like squatting, sitting cross legs & has a long history of difficult in walking. He had a waddling gait, and after proper examination, was diagnosed with a case of AVN Bilateral Femoral Head. Normally, both hips are replaced in a gap of 6 weeks, but since Shamshad is young & medically fit otherwise, we planned with our Anesthesia team & replaced his both hips at the same time. The surgery was successful with no intra-operative and post-operative complications. Now the patient is walking normally without pain, and is able to perform all his daily activities without support.”
Feeling elated to share his experience, Shamshad says, “I was suffering from unbearable hip pain from the last 2 years.
