It is our great pleasure to announce that we the Department of Microbiology organizing the 5th Annual Conference of UP-UK Chapter of the Indian Academy of Tropical Parasitology 2024 at Bareilly on th th 20th April 2024 with a pre conference workshop on 19th April 2024.

The theme of the conference is "Neglected Tropical Parasitic Diseases –Unawareness to Awareness". This theme is chosen due to the reason that every coming batch of doctors after completion of their academic medical career are concern about the bacterial or viral infections. These are the infectious organisms which show their impact on the patients and society in a very short span of time where as the parasitic infestations which are usually be in the form of silent pandemic & leads to very high morbidity specially in the tropical countries including India. Some of the parasitic infestations are common about which everyone is aware but some of the parasitic infestations are actually present & causing problems to the society but they are probably neglected due to the unawareness in the masses as well as medical fraternity. The purpose of this conference, after seeing the grand success of previous UP-UK Tropacon convinced us that the professionals who are working in the field must be aware with the new technologies arises in the field of diagnosis of Parasitic infectious diseases.

The conference shall be an important & meaningful event, bringing together leading Medical Microbiologists and parasitologists & other medical experts & contribute to a better understanding of current trends in the diagnosis of parasitic infectious diseases & their management. We also cordially invite post graduate students to participate in workshop, oral presentation & poster presentation competitions. The winners will be awarded with memento & certificates. The conference is also providing the platform for M.Sc. (Medical Microbiology) students, Ph.D students & the students of various other medical & paramedical subjects to share their research papers, thesis papers, posters and also to get some important insights from our eminent guest speakers.

The conference will also provide an opportunity to explore Bareilly Bazar for Jhumka and Zarodozi work and to extend your contact and communication base, reviving old friendships & building new ones. Abstract Submission Guidlines for Oral/poster

Poster Size Poster should have size 3ft (width) x4ft (length)
Word Limit Abstract must be typed in MS word format using times new roman font, size12, Single space, Justified and not exceeding 250 words, excluding Title and author name and affiliations. The title should be less than 20 words, which should be in capital letters with a font size of 14.
Font It is recommended to use Times New Roman with Font Size 12.
Contents The abstract should be structured under the following sub-headings;:-
a.Title:
b.The author:
c.Introduction:
d.AIM & Objectives:
e.Methods:
f.Results & Conclusions.:
*It should consist of the name of author/ presenter only. The identify of guide/ Institute should not be disclosed.
Title The title should be less than 20 words, which should be in capital letters with a font size of 14.
Deadline The last date for the submission of the abstract is 15th March 2024.
Acceptance Abstract will be reviewed by scientific committee prior to the finalization on acceptance. Few abstracts will be selected for oral presentation in award category.
Registration For Abstract submission the registration for the conference is mandatory.
