The Connexus Club of SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (SRMS IMS), Bareilly hosted its grand 5-Day Cricket Tournament— ‘MEDICAL 2024 CRICKET CUP’ from May 2-6, 2024 at Cricket Stadium of SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly, which culminated with an electrifying GRAND FINALE between SRMS IMS, Bareilly v/s GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE (GMC), Haldwani.
In a remarkable display of sportsmanship, GMC Haldwani won by chasing a target of 162 runs in 18.2 overs set by SRMS IMS in 20 overs. The 5-Day tournament witnessed the fierce league matches in two phases between SRMS IMS, Bareilly; ROHILKHAND MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL (RMCH), Bareilly; GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE (GMC),Haldwani; & GMC Badaun, wherein SRMS IMS & GMC Haldwani earned spots in the finale.
The prestigious MAN OF THE MATCH TITLE was clinched Dr Riyaz while Karan Singh from GMC, Haldwani was adjudged as BEST BOWLER of the Tournament. The title of BEST BATSMAN & MOST VALUABLE PLAYER of the Tournament was grabbed by Dr Rehan Ali from SRMS IMS.
However, the finale concluded with prize distribution ceremony, wherein Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust handed over the Runners-up trophy to SRMS IMS &Winning trophy to GMC, Haldwani, in the presence of Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Dr Rohit Sharma, Dean PG; Dr Neelima Mehrotra, Dean UG & several others. Towards the end, vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Kranti Kumar, DSW. The MOC of the event was Mehul Varshney, Secretary, Connexus Club
