In a bid to gain valuable insights on budgeting, saving and investment, MBA students and faculty members of SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly attended a seminar on the topic ‘Financial Empowerment through Wealth Creation’ that was organized by Rohilkhand Management Association (RMA) at Rotary Bhawan, Bareilly recently.
The engaging seminar that also saw participation of other educational institutions of Bareilly too, was a remarkable event attended by nearly 15 enthusiastic MBA students along with faculties of SRMS CET namely Deepak Batra, Assistant Professor & Dr Saurabh Gupta, Professor from the Department of Faculty of Management Science. The resource persons of the event were Amit Pradhan, CGM & RD-NRO, SEBI and Surya Kant Sharma, Senior Consultant, AMFI Former DGM, SEBI.
The session delved into various strategies and principles for building wealth, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy & smart investment choices. The seminar threw light on the concepts of financial planning, importance of setting financial goals, creating budgets, saving methodologies, managing risks and building emergency funds. The management students gained valuable insights on budgeting, saving & investing, empowering them to make informed financial decisions for a secured future. During the seminar, MBA students also got an opportunity to explore various investment options such as shares, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate & learned about risk-taking ability in different investments. The seminar covered various topics including Long Term Investment Planning, concept & benefits of Systematic Investment Plan (SIP), brief overview of Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and transitioning from Traditional Investment options such as Fixed Deposit to Modern Investment options etc. Overall, it was a fruitful learning experience that encouraged these young minds to embark on their wealth creation journey with confidence and knowledge.
