The MBA department, Faculty of Management Science, at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly recently organized a seminar on ‘Financial Literacy’ for 1st& 2nd year students of MBA.
Gaurav Patel, NCFM Trainer at National Institute of Securities Market (NISM), was the Resource person, having 3+ years of experience in financial markets. Throughout his career, he has trained over 1200 students, sharing his knowledge & insights to help them navigate the complexities of market.
Gaurav, a dedicated professional, conducted an engaging workshop focusing on enhancing financial literacy among MBA students of SRMS CET. Covering a wide range of topics, including mutual funds, equity derivatives, investment advisory, technical analysis, financial planning & investment strategies, he provided participants with comprehensive understanding of financial markets.
Throughout the workshop, Gaurav, who is currently pursuing advanced education in Investment Banking from Boston Institute of Analytics to further enhance his expertise, emphasized upon financial planning as a fundamental aspect of achieving financial goals. He guided participants to create personalized financial plans tailored to their individual needs & aspirations. During the session, he shared various investment strategies, ranging from conservative to aggressive & discussed their potential risks & rewards. He provided insights into portfolio diversification, asset allocation & importance of staying disciplined during market fluctuations. Additionally, he also introduced National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFQL) 2024 initiative by Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) & NISM & encouraged students to actively engage enhance their financial knowledge & skills.
Overall, the workshop, managed by Deepak Batra, Assistant Professor, MBA Department, SRMS CET,offered students practical knowledge& tools to navigate financial landscape with confidence.
