69th STAG UP STATE TT CHAMPIONSHIP AT SRMS CET CONCLUDES WITH A TRUE SPORTSMANSHIP

The Sports Indoor Stadium of SRMS CET Campus, Bareilly at DAY-3 of three-day long 69th STAG UP State Table Tennis Championships from October 28-30th, in memory of Shri Ram Murti Ji, organized and sponsored by Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust, Bareilly witnessed an astounding grand finale that took place in high spirits, and concluded on a high note, where the Championship Trophy was grabbed by Divyansh Srivastava of Lucknow.
The tournament was promoted by UPTTA Stag International, Meerut and conducted by District Table Tennis Association, Bareilly under the aegis of UPTTA, Lucknow.
ESTEEMED DIGNITARIES
The #DAY-3, closing ceremony witnessed the garlanding ceremony of Babuji by Chief Guest, Raj Kumar, IPS, ADGP, Bareilly zone, who addressed the participants with his motivating and exuberant words, and focused on developing skills and maintaining sportsman spirit. Plant samplings were also presented to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Shri Dev Murti, Founder and Chairman at SRMS Trust gave a special address and his kind blessings and congratulations to the participants during the event, in the presence of Aditya Murti, Secretary SRMS Trust, Er. Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor, Professor Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics, Dr Deependra Kamthan, Honorary Secretary of District TT Association, Bareilly, NK Lahiry, Tournament Director, and Professor Dr Anuj Kumar, Director at TDP Cell and HOD, MBA. The last day also saw a series of jaw-dropping moments from the finale matches that were played with unmatchable zeal and enthusiasm.
Later on, Shri Dev Murti along with Aditya Murti gave away the prizes, and presented mementos to the Chief Guest, referees of national and international repute and other dignitaries present during the event. The assembly ended with a vote of thanks by Professor Dr Prabhakar Gupta.
ICONIC PARTICIPATION
The total of 550 matches were played in a 3-day long championship, with a participation of around 325 players from 25 districts of UP namely Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Balia, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Etawah, Firozabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lucknow, Mathura, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Renukoot, Saharanpur, Sultanpur, Sonbhadra and Varanasi. After grueling rounds of pre-quarterfinals, quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals, Divyansh Srivastava from Lucknow and Sarth Mishra from Ghaziabad remained the winners in Under-19 Men’s category, whereas Suhani Mahajan and Disha from Ghaziabad in Under-19 Women’s category. The Best Upcoming player award was grabbed by Anshika whereas Veer Balmiki received the award for Best Performer of the Tournament. Winning a big round of applause, the Championship Trophy was clinched by Divyansh Srivastava from Lucknow.

GALORE OF APPRECIATION
The total cash prize designated for the 69th UP State TT Championship was Rs 1, 10,000, wherein cash prize from SRMS Trust included Rs 50, 000; UPTTA Lucknow Rs 30,000; STAG International Meerut Rs 20,000; Nihal Singh Memorial Rs 5000 and Vivek Prasad Rs 5,000 each respectively.
