EXHILARATING ACTION KICKS-OFF AT 10TH SHRI RAM MURTI MEMORIAL TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT WITH 450 PLAYERS FROM UP BATTLING FOR GLORY!

The 10TH SHRI RAM MURTI MEMORIAL 3RD UP STATE RANKING TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2023 (November 4-6, 2023), organized by SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK (SRMS) TRUST kicked-off with great zeal & gusto at SRMS Engineering College Campus on November 4, under the direction of UP Table Tennis Association (UPTTA), Lucknow.

Conducted by District TT Association (DTTA), Bareilly & Powered by Stag Global, the Day-1 was duly inaugurated by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust in the presence of Dr Deependra Kamthan, Secretary, District TT Association; NK Lahiry, Tournament Director; Amit Kumar Singh, International Referee from Lucknow (Blue Badge); Saumya Sinha, Assistant Referee (Varanasi); Arif Niaz, Assistant Referee (Sultanpur); Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics; Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell; Dr DN Rao, Director IQAC; Dr Arti Gupta, Director Pharmacy; Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS; Dr Sovan Mohanty, DSW; Dr Jitendra Singh Yadav, Chief Proctor & several others. Soon after, Shri Dev Murti gave presidential address followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony at the table & played the first igniting shot, justifying the beginning of thrilling matches. Dr Deependra Kamthan also shared motivational words.

Total 600 matches shall be played during the 3-day tournament under 24 Technical Officials, with participation of 450 players, including 150 girls & 300 boys from various UP cities like Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Etawah, Firozabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mathura, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Varanasi, Sultanpur & Meerut. The category of matches includes Hopes (Under 11); Cadet (Under 13); Sub-Junior (Under 15); Junior (Under 17); Youth (Under 19) & Men/Women (Open event). However, the action-packed day-1 saw impressive participation of Hopes Boys/Girls (U-11), Cadet Boys/Girls (Under 13), Sub-Junior Boys/Girls (U-15) & Junior boys (U-17) in their pre-quarterfinals and quarterfinals.
