With an aim to promote innovative thinking and practical skills, Department of Computer Science & Engineering at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly conducted COMPTECH—TECHFEST 2023 on April 20 that kicked-off in the presence of Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust advisor; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics; Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell ; Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Prof Rintu Chaturvedi, Principal Nursing; Dr Arti Gupta, Director Pharmacy; Dr LS Maurya, Principal CETR; Er Hiresh Kumar Gupta, HOD CSE CET etc. During the inaugural, the significance of coding contests and optimizing abilities for recruitment were highlighted, in connection to the spiritual story of Lord Hanuman.
The Techfest began with enthusiastic series of exciting events with participation of 631 CET students, who out-shined their technical skills. I wide-range of activities, Daksh Saraswat, Khushi Singhal & Mohit Kumar grabbed first, second & third position respectively in Computer Quiz. Prashant Bhalla, Abhishek & Harsh Agarwal won first, second & third prize respectively in Bug War. In an exciting PPT based event, Social View, Priyanshi Parashari & Chahak Agarwal stood first, while second & third position was bagged by Uday Anand and Lavanya Saxena & Disha Gangwar. In Code Starters, Gaurisha Agarwal, Dhruv Johri & Saumya Gupta stood first, second & third. Neha Sanwal, Pratiksha Singh & Ishika Saxena secured first, second & third place in Do Doodle. Code Mania & E-Treasure Hunt were the added attractions.
Later, Shri Aditya Murti addressed the gathering and focused on the need to come forward, take initiatives and contribute our bit in such creative events. At the end, vote of thanks was proposed by Er Hiresh.
