Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly recently conducted an Internal Hackathon for SIH (Smart India Hackathon) 2023, which was an internal college-level short listing & nomination process for National-Level SIH participation. The objective was to enable & enhance opportunities for students, academicians & visionaries to deliver innovative solutions to pressing problems we face in our daily lives, inculcating a culture of product innovation & problem-solving mindset. However, these real-world problems were provided by Indian Central & State Ministries, Departments, PSUs, Industries & NGOs, already listed on SIH official website.
During the event, 24 teams comprising of 6 members each from different departments of CET participated and curated ideas on SIH themes like Smart Automation, Fitness & Sport, Heritage & Culture, Smart Vehicles, Transportation & Logistics, Robotics & Drones, Clean & Green Technology, Tourism, Sustainable energy, Cyber security, Disaster Management, Smart Education etc. The CET students put in their sheer efforts & brought creative & innovative project ideas, demonstrating teamwork, problem-solving skills & application of classroom learning in real-life situations. Later, after well-thought evaluation, 21 creative ideas—a mix of Software & Hardware, got selected on internal-basis and finally submitted in National-Level SIH-2023, which is indeed going to be a promising platform for budding engineers.
