PHARMACY STUDENTS OF SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK ENGINEERING COLLEGE GETS IN-DEPTH UNDERSTANDING OF cGMP IN A GUEST LECTURE

Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (Pharmacy), Bareilly recently organized an enlightening Guest Lecture via Online Mode on ‘Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)’ in association with Institution Industry Cell (IIC), which was delivered by Special Guest & Keynote Speaker Dr Akshay R Koli, Senior Manager,Corporate Quality Compliance, Policies & Training at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Vadodara, Gujarat.
The MOC’s of the event were Chahak Agarwal (B Pharm) & Divyanshi Sharma (M Pharm) from Batch 2022.

The lecture offered B Pharm and M Pharm students a valuable opportunity to learn from a top expert and gain a close understanding of industry requirements, including advanced methods in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The interactive lecture began in the presence of Dr Arti Gupta, Director Pharmacy; Dr Jitendra Singh Yadav, Chief Proctor & IIC Chairperson; Dr Nita Yadav, Professor & Academic Coordinator, Pharmacy along with other faculties of Pharmacy department.

During the session, Dr Akshay discussed current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), its role & scope in maintaining the quality of drug products. He focused on how these practices ensure the proper design, monitoring & control of manufacturing processes & facilities. He underscored how adherence to cGMP regulations is essential for safeguarding the identity, strength, quality & purity of drug products, by necessitating effective control of manufacturing operations by medication manufacturers, which was engaging & informative.
