The Pharmquimica Club of Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Pharmacy, Bareilly recently celebrated 11th World Pharmacist Day with a bang to honour the immense contribution of pharmacists to healthcare, under its theme ‘Pharmacy Strengthening Health Systems’.
The celebration was an opportunity for Pharmacy Department to showcase their incredible work. The event kicked off with inaugural session in the presence of Chief Patron, Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust; Guest of Honour, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Drug Inspector, Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Bareilly; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics; Dr LS Maurya, Principal CETR; Dr Arti Gupta, Director Pharmacy; Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell; Dr DN Rao, Director IQAC; Dr Avneesh Chandan, Principal Nursing; Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS; Dr Sovan Mohanty, DSW & Dr Jitendra Singh Yadav, Chief Proctor.
During the event, Utkarshini Singh, Chairperson, Pharmquimica Club briefed about the theme. Dr Arti Gupta , threw light on accomplishments of the department, wherein 3 Research Projects, 22 Research Papers, 13 Filed & 3 Granted Patents (by faculties) were presented. 7 Research Papers by M Pharm students & 13 Research Papers by B Pharm students were also presented. This was followed by administering the Pharmacist's Oath. Later, gathering was addressed with motivational words by Shri Dev Murti. There was a mesmerizing display of talent, which enhanced & acknowledged the creativity of students with contests like Poster Presentation, Sales Maniac, Rangoli, Pharma Treasure Hunt followed by most-awaited Cultural Dance-Drama-Mime. The winners were felicitated with certificates of appreciation & gleaming trophies. Towards the end, the highly anticipated & coveted award for Best Pharmacist was rightfully claimed by Anjali that added an extra layer of excitement & prestige to the day.
