The Robotrax Club of Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly, under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) successfully organized a practical & hands-on workshop on the topic ‘UMBRELLA OF SENSOR’ recently, which was a comprehensive exploration of sensor technology, and enlightened students with hands-on experience with arrays of sensors, controllers & actuators.
The ‘Umbrella of Sensors’ club activity was followed by a Technical Quiz Competition, wherein, 32 students participated, out of which 04 students were awarded with medals & certificates. With the impactful presence of Dr Sovan Mohanty, HOD, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department; Kamran Asraf and Devendra Gangwar —Assistant Professors at Department of ECE, the event received notable attention and guidance. The quiz segment, judged by experienced professionals including Er Vivek Yadav, Er Sumbul Ali & Er Mahendra Singh, provided a competitive platform for students to showcase their knowledge.
However, the demonstrations and presentations of sensors offered attendees insights into the practical applications and advancements in sensor technology. A brief sensor-oriented presentation was also delivered by Dr Sovan Mohanty, giving the attendees a good insight into the field of sensor technologies. The four exceptional students—Pragati Sahu, EC, Batch 2022; Tanya Gupta, EC, Batch 2022; Gursimran Kaur, EC, Batch 2022 and Sachin, EC, Batch 2023 emerged as winners of the Technical Quiz, earning certificates & medals (Gold/Silver) for their remarkable performances.
Overall, the event not only facilitated learning, but also highlighted SRMSCET’s commitment to fostering academic excellence in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
