The MCA Department at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly recently organized ‘MCathon 2024’—a coding competition for MCA first- & second-year students, which provided a platform to students to enhance their problem-solving skills, get the right coding concepts, logic building and optimization of the source code by using test cases & patterns.
The knowledge-driven competition began with a code test under the supervision of internal evaluators, during which students participated enthusiastically and applied their coding skills to find optimized solutions for given cases. Following the competition, the coding was evaluated based on parameters such as number of test cases passed and logic used.
Towards the end, the winners were announced, wherein Kavya Agarwal & Priyansh Sharmafrom MCA first year clinched first & second prize, whereas Anand Prakash & Pankaj Kumarfrom MCA second year received first & second prizes, respectively along with merit certificates. All participants also received certificate of participation. Additionally, certificate of appreciation was given to MCA second-year students Shaurabh Tiwari & Aditya Saraswat for successfully organizing the event. Earlier, the event was graced by Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal CET as the Guest of Honor in the presence of Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell along with several other faculty members of MCA Department.
