SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK’s ENGINEERING & PHARMACY STUDENTS SENSITISED IN A BOOT CAMP SESSION ON INNOVATIVE AGRIPERNEURSHIP PROGRAMMES

The Institutions Innovation Council of Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly (IIC-SRMSCET) in collaboration with IVRI Incubation Centre, Bareilly recently organized a Boot Camp Session on ‘Innovative Agripreneurship Programmes-NAVODAYA and SAMRIDDHI’ for B Tech & B Pharm II & III-year students. The aim of the session was to sensitize students to the opportunities & potential of startup ecosystem in Animal Science & Allied Sector. The resource persons of the event were Saurabh Singh, Business Manager, RKVY RAFTAAR ABI Scheme, IVRI Izzatnagar & Kultaj Singh, IVRI Pashu Vigyan Incubator.

The session began with welcoming the team of IVRI Incubation Centre by Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics & President IIC in the presence of Dr Anuj Kumar Director TDP Cell; Dr Arti Gupta, Director Pharmacy; Dr Jitendra Singh Yadav Chief Proctor; Dr Shailesh Saxena, Convenor IIC, Dr Sovan Mohanty DSW & several other dignitaries.

During the enriching session, Saurabh Singh spoke about early-stage startups & highlighted on NAVODAYA & SAMRIDDHI. He explained 2-months program ‘NAVODAYA’ that aims to provide innovative ideas with training to students, youth, farmers, women etc & offers a Grant-in-aid of up to Rs 5 lakhs to selected participants to transform their innovative ideas into tangible prototypes. He further highlighted how ‘SAMRIDDHI’ programme supports start-ups with innovative products, services, business processes, or models at Minimum Viable Stage ready for commercialization & provides mentorship-Grant-in-aid of up to Rs. 25 lakhs & facilitation support to promising ventures. Later, Kultaj Singh shared various Animal Science Startups as well as Women Startup stories like ‘Agverse Technologies Pvt Ltd’, which used technologies like Gun for AI with Intelligence & ‘We Are Fresh Innovations’. The event concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Dr Shailesh Saxena.
