SRMS CET 9th World Pharmacist Day

The 9th World Pharmacist Day revolved around the theme- “Pharmacy: Always trusted for your health”. The theme stresses on the significant association between trust in healthcare professionals and health outcomes for patients. They truly can always be trusted for our health.

The spirit of this trust was transferred to Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology, Bareilly. Numerous events, contests and performances were organised to honour this day marshalled by their Pharmquimica Club.

The inaugural session commenced with a pious ceremony of lamp lighting accompanied by the euphony of Saraswati Vandana and Sansthan Geet. This historic day was embraced by admirably penned words by Aqsa Nadeem and Dr. Nita Yadav(Academic Coordinator) shared the achievements of SRMS CET, Pharmacy through a slideshow displaying the contribution of the faculty and students. This was followed by the Pharmacist Oath. The knitted words of Dr. Prabhakar Gupta(Dean Academics)and Dr. Anuj Kumar(Training Development And Placement Cell Head) and suffused the space with motivation. The session was culminated by the vote of thanks from Ms.Shipra Sharma(Pharmquimica Faculty Incharge).

In order to keep the flame of enthusiasm burning in students, various contests were assembled by the Pharmaqubica Club.

Poster Presentation:

‘A platform for expressing their opinions on canvas’ is how posters are defined as and hence the contest of creating such snapshots was scheduled. How a pharmacist can present medicine in the form of art was the key point.

Pharm Treasure Hunt:

To evoke a sense of ardour, this unique contest was collocated. This game of seeking and gathering based on clues aided the curious minds.

Sales Maniac:

An event to showcase the talent of marketing, sales and pharmacy, in order to demonstrate the strategy of selling medicines. This marked an experience in itself.

Spotlight Fight:

This cultural event filled with drama, mime, singing, acting gave the students to fight to get that light. Brilliant performances were given.

“It is the contest that delights us, not the victory.” The journey is always more fruitful than the destination.The Valedictory Session with prize distribution followed next. It included the inducing and inspirational words of Dr. Prabhakar Gupta (Dean Academics) that motivated the students to have a unique vision and hence see 2 + 2 is also equal to 5. The winners of various contests organised were declared and students were presented with awards and certifications by the respected dignitaries.

The most awaited award “Best Pharmacist Award” was presented to Ms. Kriti Saxena from 2018 batch. Thereupon, a vote of thanks was given by Dr. Semimul Akhtar.
