Celebrating the spirit of Republic Day, a ‘friendly cricket match’ was played between faculty and staff members at SRMS CET Cricket grounds on January 26, 2023. The exciting match kicked-off soon after the R-Day and Basant Panchami celebrations.
The friendly match began enthusiastically with the introduction of the players in the presence of Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust; Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Richa Murti; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics; Er Kapil Bhushan, DSW; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor;Dr Sovan Mohanty, Chief Proctor and Dr Anuj Kumar, Head TDP Cell. However, the aim was to boost the morale of all the players and promote team spirit & camaraderie among them. The match was played between TEAM-1 comprising of SRMS CET, SRMS CET&R, SRMS COLLEGE OF LAW, SRMS COLLEGE OF NURSING & SRMS RIDDHIMA, and TEAM-2 comprising of SRMS IMS, SRMS IPS & SRMS GOODLIFE. It was a neck-to-neck competition among both the teams, which was a thrilling and terrific experience for the spectators.
Later, the match winners were declared, wherein TEAM-1 (SRMS CET) scored 134 runs, and TEAM-2 (SRMS IMS) scored 128 runs. Finally, team SRMS CET won the match by 6 runs. The field day concluded with motivational words by Shri Dev Murti, and a vote of thanks was given by Sports Committee of the college.
