Keeping up with the spirit of freedom and blessings of Maa Saraswati,SRMS Institutions, Bareilly celebrated 74th Republic Day and Basant Panchami on January 26th, 2023. In one of the SRMS institutions at SRMS CET, the event began with the lamp-lighting ceremony followed by flag hoisting by Chairman SRMS Trust Shri Dev Murti in the presence of Trust Secretary Aditya Murti; Richa Murti;Dean Academics Dr Prabhakar Gupta;Dean Student Welfare Er Kapil Bhushan; Trust Advisor ErSubhash Mehra; Head TDP Cell, Dr Anuj Kumar and Chief Proctor Sovan Mohanty. Throughout the celebrations, there was a vibe of positive and divine aura, pride and enthusiasm all over the campus.
The patriotic celebrations proceeded further with a national anthem. Soon after, student’s choir sang patriotic songs in melodious voices. This was followed by an inspiring address by Shri Dev Murti, wherein he urged the students to attain knowledge from the books, instead of taking help of internet especially ‘google’ in the current scenario. He encouraged the students to prove well at academic front. In his motivational and energetic speech, he extended his wishes on Basant Panchami to everyone. Thereafter,Dr Prabhakar Gupta addressed the audience, and highlighted the sense of responsibility we citizens hold, and informed about patent projects and research done by faculty members and students. Scholarship distribution was an added highlight wherein 166 students received the scholarships. The first-year students of batch 2022 were awarded with Entry Level Scholarship Test 2022, whereas the second-year batch 2021 students received Academic Scholarship by SRMS Trust.
The R-Day celebrations concluded with Saraswati Vandana and vote of thanks extended by the Tyro Secretary, Sudhanshu Verma, followed by Prasad distribution and High Tea.
