The MCA Department of SRMS College of Engineering and Technology, Bareilly conducted a workshop on the topic ‘Data Analytics—An Overview’ on October 19th, 2022 at MCA Lab-2 that was well managed by event in-charge, Arvind Mishra, Assistant Professor at MCA Department, SRMS CET Bareilly.
The objective of organizing the workshop was to create, select, adapt and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern computing tools to complex computing activities, with an understanding of the limitations. During the workshop, students learnt the hands on practice on the Hadoop and VM Ware tool.
The workshop had various topics covered including what is data analytics, types of data analytics, the data analysis process, skills needed to become a data analyst, and working on hadoop and VM Ware, which offered students to understand different skills, methodologies and know-how in order to glean useful insights. The workshop was indeed a learning process for students, who are on their path to become a data analyst. Such aspiring students also learnt few standard hard and soft skills that every data analyst entering the field will need.
