With an aim to encourage students, faculties & staff to embrace fitness in their daily routines, Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly has come up with ‘FIT INDIA WEEK’ from December 11-15, 2023 at its CET Campus.
The ongoing Fit India Week, aligned with Government of India’s Fit India Movement Campaign, is packed with exciting activities including Fitness Lecture Series, Poster Presentation, Fitness Pledges, Health Camp, Debate Competition, Yoga Camp, Essay Writing & T-10 Cricket Tournament.
However, the five-day programme kicked-off with a thrilling T-10 Cricket Tournament, wherein three spirited teams—Super Kings, Fearless Eagles & Supa Strikas showcased their cricket prowess with immense enthusiasm, displaying exceptional sportsmanship throughout the event. The tournament culminated in a thrilling grand finale between Super Kings & Fearless Eagles. Finally, Fearless Eagles emerged victorious by 6 wickets with a score of 122/6 against 121/2, showcasing their skill, teamwork, determination, spirit of fitness & wellness, leaving a lasting impression in the hearts of participants & audience alike.
The thrilling conclusion paved the way for prestigious prize distribution ceremony, wherein Player of the Match & 3rd Man of the Match titles were clinched by Umang. On the other hand, Aakash Mourya earned the title of 2nd Man of the Match, while Abhinav showcased prowess as the scorer. Vishwajeet received the accolade of Best Runner, and Harshit, Academy Member, was honored as Umpire. In a fitting culmination, trophies were presented to all deserving title holders, marking the end of a grand & unforgettable sporting spectacle, in the presence of Dr Sovan Mohanty, DSW; Dr Jitendra Singh Yadav, Chief Proctor; Shankal Pal, Sports In-charge; Ashwani Kumar Chauhan, Warden LBV Boys Hostel; Nitin Saxena, Basketball Coach & several others.
